“Change is endemic to our planet. When we look to a future with AI, understand that the world will be changing anyway from the myriad of forces afoot. If we are to enjoy our lives, it is with AI and all the rest of life. It may be that learning to enjoy change is going to be our greatest challenge. Perhaps AI can help.”
On nature
“We are a product of nature and nature will come with us into the new AI world. Was AI an invention or a discovery? Either way AI’s elements are natural because nature is intelligent. The world will adapt to AI because AI is just one aspect of nature itself.”
On the future
“We are extremely myopic regarding our view of AI. The future with AI is the world’s future. Some things will be different, of course, but mostly the sun will come up in the morning and the birds will sing. The world will still be a beautiful place.”
