Will you be adding new books and authors?

We are a boutique publisher and each book is its own creation. As time and resources permit, we add new titles to our line and introduce new authors. Quality, not quantity, is our focus and that takes time. But we are firm in our desire to develop content we believe is worth publishing. That can include pieces from a variety of sources to us, both internal and external. Our mint logo stands for our aspiration to excellence. And we have been consistent in this theme since our founding in 2003.

Will you publish or sell my book?

We cannot accept any unsolicited manuscripts, story lines, projects, ideas, or other intellectual property. We are required by our attorneys to either return all such materials unopened or discard them, to protect the copyright of everyone involved.

Also, we are unable to dispense literary advice; assist you in getting your book published; or steer you to a book editor, agent, or publisher.

There is a wealth of information about how to publish a work available at bookstores and public libraries including “how to” books and publishing industry resources. You might also surf the Internet for the specific names of agents, publishers, and guides to self-publishing. For starters, check the Literary Market Place at www.literarymarketplace.com.

What is the history of your company name?

Some of you will remember us as Traitor Dachshund, LLC. It was a great company name and we still love dachshunds and use the Traitor Dachshund brand as our imprint for children’s books. But we felt that Minted Prose describes us better. We are offering a fresh alternative for the curious consumer and are devoted to creating products that speak to you.
